if you've found yourself here, welcome.

while Strawberry Maple is where you'll find my work, this page is a little more personal. it's a chance to introduce myself, share what inspires me, and explain how I approach weddings.

for me, weddings have never just been about flowers or décor.

what fascinates me is how a space makes you feel.

it's difficult to explain, but I've always been drawn to places with presence. and i built Strawberry Maple to not sit in a single wedding niche such as a florist or stylist, but to sit in multiple, because like with everything, nothing is isolated; everything is connected.

energy is a big part of my life. i like to feel it. i know almost immediately when a room feels right, and equally when it doesn't. i can't always explain why. sometimes it's the architecture. sometimes it's the light. even the people in it. but when everything works together, there's a flow to it that feels “right”.

i deeply care about things being right. symmetry, or in some cases no symmetry, the way light plays, how it creates shadow, the softness of it, the way material reacts to it. this may sound a little weird, but these obsessions create the atmosphere which in turn creates and influences the energy of a space. the space becomes, and feels the way it should be felt.

weddings should not be a collection of individual elements. everything should work together, and even down to suppliers; you feel if the energy is right. if the energy is right, you have an amazing team behind you, and your wedding will be unforgettable.

i’m inspired by lots of different places and things; particularly photography, and i religiously open the back pages of Vogue every month to see if friends are featured. in film, wes anderson’s symmetry is soothing to me and i particularly enjoy visiting spaces where something feels “different”; museums, country houses, berghain…

ultimately, my goal isn’t to simply decorate a room; it’s to create a feeling. because after everything, people remember the feeling and atmosphere… not the florals or styling.

outside of Strawberry Maple, my wife Lydia and I are fortunate to spend a lot of time immersed in the wedding industry. we regularly model for wedding editorials and creative shoots, which has given us the opportunity to work alongside talented photographers, planners, venues and designers throughout the UK. seeing weddings through the lens of a camera has shaped how I think about design, storytelling and the guest experience. there’s a gallery for some inspiration below.

when i’m not working on wedding or commercial work, you’ll likely find me in nature, tending to the garden, cooking, or baking.

one thing worth mentioning is that Instagram acts largely as a portfolio of completed work. it's where I share weddings, projects and finished designs.

if you're interested in the thinking behind the work, the ideas, observations and occasional opinions, you'll find more of that on TikTok, where I'm able to be a little more conversational and share my perspective on weddings and design.
