Floral design, opulence, and luxurious. Unique.

It’s not every day a couple marries at a museum, particularly one as beautiful as the national museum in Cardiff, but Julia and Conrad did just that.

With an emphasis on non-traditional design, and faux florals, we love this one. We kept the designs simple, yet elegant, with an emphasis on artistic direction rather than overloading the displays with flowers. We opted for hues of purple and pinks which provided a gorgeous contrast against vines, branches, and amaranthus. We created a separate sub theme in the form of white hydrangea to soften the sculptured features of the venue and added candles to add warmth and a soft glow in the right areas.

Accented with black and grey linens, oystershell ceramics, warm lighting, and natural fabrics, this style is well balanced and romantic, doesn’t draw from Julia & Conrad, and isn’t overly flamboyant. With platters being utilised on the tables, we offset the decor and styling to allow space for guests to dine comfortably.

This was a full venue style for c. 160 guests, including the ceremony, reception, grand staircase, stage, and welcome areas for guests, including bouquets and buttonholes.
